Ok, so the first image here is basically identical to a previous image I had, however, this time it is homemade!! Courtesy of my friend Caroline who gave me the recipe, I have finally given it a crack. I just hope it works.
1cup washing soda ($7 ish a kilo)
1cup of bi carb (cheap as)
grate the soap. ($7)
add some other essential oils.
put in food processor for a few seconds to break up the soap a bit more.
Concerns I have:
1. The castile soap does have coconut oil in it. So I think I need to trial it on something like towels. In the past anything that has coconut oil in it has clogged my sink. I did keep some spare to wash my hands with to see if that is the case. Pray for me.
2. I thought I liked the smell.... when I opened the soap, turns out I didn't. I don't like cherry blossom because it smells like fake cherry medicine stuff.
Cost wise, it ends up being cheaper than buying the washing powder at the bulk food shop. But it is still more expensive than buying the soap from like woollies. I was originally buying one with microplastics in it too. God will have to forgive me for that.
