This is James' Grandma's recipe.
3 small chillis
3 capsicums
1 cup vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
Finely chop the chilli's and capsicum.
Simmer/boil for 15-20 minutes with vinegar until mushy (use potato masher if necessary or food processor)
add sugar to thicken and simmer for another 10-15 minutes. Basically keep boiling and stirring until all of the 'liquid' is gone, and it becomes like a jam.
BUT FIRST!! Where are the ingredients from?
Chillis from the garden. Capsicum from the local fruit and veg using fresh-produce-bags. Vinegar and sugar from Source foods using reusable containers.
Secondly, where will the scraps go?
The capsicum seeds have been added to the garden. Then will hopefully become more capsicum in the futures. The rest is compost.
