The poor and the earth are crying out. O Lord, seize us with your power and light, help us to protect all life, to prepare for a better future, for the coming of your kingdom of justice, peace, love and beauty.
I was fortunate to be sent this prayer the other day. The poor and the Earth are crying out. The poor and the Earth are crying out. In looking after the poor, we look after the earth. By looking after the earth, we look after the poor. For several years now I have brought presents from fair trade places. Some of my favourites are Oxfam and Destiny Rescue. I also like places like the Body shop because they treat animals the right way. 4Oceans is also a great place to buy from but I suppose we are now stretching the extent of the word fair trade.
Looking online first to find fair trade presents is a good idea before jumping straight into the shops.
