It is the first Sunday of Advent. I am super excited. I have wrapped all my presents, my tree is up. I wanted to do a series on this website about advent and how to manage Christmas ethically. I thought I'd start with something easy. The serviettes.
Zero-wasters out there would agree that there is nothing better than cloth serviettes, aka napkins. Mum used to always have lovely napkin rings, and I reckon there is nothing more elegant than a nice napkin ring and a cloth napkin. I also found this alternative napkin ring which I thought was cool.
Paper serviettes are not the worst thing in the world, but if you can try and compost them if you are using them instead of sending them to landfill.
