It has been a little while since I posted, but I am very excited about this recent purchase. I have been somewhat visually challenged for several years now and I wear glasses all the time. Glasses are expensive, they are often made plastic, you use them for a short time and if you have a certain prescription, it isn't as though you can just go and get new ones without some wait time.

I love these people. They are incredibly friendly and they are helping people go zero waste with glasses. At Dresden you can,
a) get an awesome optometrist to do your script
b) choose your frame and arms - they are made in Australia, and some of the range are made purely from recycled materials (my sunnies arms are entirely recycled).
c) take back your frames for your entire life and just get new lenses popped back into them
d) grab an awesome felt glasses case (instead of a plastic one)
e) take home your glasses in a CARDBOARD (omg) box
f) look amazing
g) get your old glasses refitted with your new script (it takes a while to do this and costs a bit extra, but looking forward to doing it in the future).
h) save a TONNE of money.
I have also found out that you can no longer recycle your glasses through the fred hollows foundation, but rather you can do so through Lions Australia. I intend on doing that this week.
They are sturdy as. Because they have pins in them not screws, they are less likely to break. And they give you the extra pins! Just in case! Aren't they wonderful!!
Dresden have 4 sizes and a range of stock colours. Some of the range they have are a blend (see my green arms) of some leftover ink. They are one of a kind. My normal clear glasses were fitted and made ON THE DAY! My sunnies took a while because polarised takes time... once you go polarised you can't go back....
