I'm trying to minimalise my cupboards and found and old broken label maker, and some old headphones and chargers that had frayed. I went into officeworks asking if they could recycle the goods, but apparently not. They recommended battery world, but they only do batteries. So I went on to the planet ark website and found that actually Australia has no way in which to recycle old miscellaneous electronics. I think this is incredibly sad. Again, I'm being reminded that it should be the manufacturer that is responsible for the waste of their products. Take ikea for example, they have now said they will take back any of their old unwanted furniture and recycle it, which is fantastic!
